An endoscope is used to take a look at the interior lining of your pet’s GI tract, esophagus, and stomach. It can also be used to examine ears, and nose. This tool allows us to avoid surgery in some cases. It can be used for biopsies, to remove foreign bodies, and take a closer look at the cause of your pet’s problem.
For an endoscopic procedure your pet will need to be placed under a full anesthetic- LINK. Recovery time from endoscopes is quite minimal compared to a surgical procedure. Most pets will be recovered within 12-24 hours. For more information regarding our endoscope services, please call to make an appointment 827-3033.
