Dental Care… It’s Vital
It is estimated that 80% of dogs over three will have some degree of dental or periodontal disease. By older age, many dogs will be in dire need of treatment to prevent pain, discomfort, and premature death from undiagnosed and untreated dental disease.
Dental disease can, quite simply, cause your pet severe pain and discomfort and may even result in a shortening of their life due to organ failure from constant bacterial seeding of the liver, heart, and kidneys from gum infections.
With a good diet and preventative care with your vet’s assistance, this can be easily prevented. We check all pet’s teeth during the annual health assessment & vaccination. Our technician staff will always check your pet’s teeth for you free of charge if requested.
If there is a problem, they will make an appointment for you to see the vet, who can then decide on the best course of treatment.
It’s vital not to underestimate the importance of looking after your dog’s teeth. Oral care may be one of the most important things you can do for your pet’s health and well-being. If in doubt, call us at (775) 827-3033 to arrange a dental check-up.
